About Sushi Nikko
Located at 104 NC-54 N, Carrboro, NC 27510, Sushi Nikko operates as a japanese serving Carrboro in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Carrboro, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across North Carolina run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 320 reviews, which is a strong result for a japanese in Carrboro and suggests consistent service.
Carrboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Carrboro follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Wow!! Absolutely amazing! This is easily one of the best sushi experiences weβve ever had. We tried rolls and sashimi, and everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. All rolls were fantastic, but the one topped with crawfish was especially delicious. The tempura shrimp roll with that crispy, crunchy topping was also a standout so flavorful and satisfying! The restaurant itself was spotless, and the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. Great food, great atmosphere, and wonderful service. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be coming back! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ

Ordered a 5 of their fancy rolls and ramen. Ramen was good - but from packaged noodles. The rolls TASTED good however they were very unattractive and borderline unappetizing. One roll looked like it had raw ground beef layered on top with no other decoration. Menu's were very unattractive. Prices were cut out and taped? on to the menu's. Dirty and dingy restroom hallway - only one old florescent bulb and bath room was roadside gas station level - the one where you have to get the key from the front desk chained to a tire or something. For all of this, prices were very high - $4 for basic hot green tea. Inflation is bad out there but this was very extreme. We will not return I am sad to say. To the owner's - please improve the experience minimally at the bathrooms / lighting. Focus on presentation - reduce menu size if you need to but sushi is expected to be beautiful.

AVOID π€’ π€’ . Whoever gave this place more than 1 star has clearly never tasted sushi. Or food. Iβm not exaggerating when I say that walmart deli sushi is better and cleaner. The ramen they served was CLEARLY instant ramen. If you come here, youβll be spending a minimum of $20/person on the nastiest food.

Great sushi, rolls are huge, rice is perfect. Lovely atmosphere, lots of take out, quiet dining room. Fresh, fresh sushi, so happy.

We visited this evening around 8:00 PM and were the only customers. While the restaurant was clean with pleasant background music, the overall experience was poor, especially given the prices. The Food We ordered the Shrimp Katsu ($16) with rice and the Beef Teriyaki ($18), since they were out of the Salmon Teriyaki. A major red flag was hearing a series of loud microwave beeps immediately after placing our order. The food came out after 10-15 minutes. The Positive: Both of our meals came with excellent rice that was fluffy and fragrant, and a small side salad with a standard ginger dressing. The Disappointment: My Shrimp Katsu was highly disappointing. It tasted nothing like shrimp and resembled processed meat, similar to imitation crab, but shaped like mozzarella sticks drizzled with sweet mayo. The texture and flavor were clearly not fresh shrimp. My wifeβs Beef Teriyaki was also underwhelming. The beef was chewy and served over soggy lettuce, with a very basic, overly sweet teriyaki glaze. The Service The lone waitress was polite but demonstrated poor customer service skills. The most jarring part of the meal was when she began to hover near our table while we were eating,
